The deeper meaning

The Leap is the card of beginning. The moment before the first step, when the cliff is real and the next ground has not yet appeared. The traditional Fool walks toward the edge with a small bag and a flower, eyes turned upward, seemingly oblivious to the drop. He is not foolish. He is the holy fool, the one who has not yet been taught to fear the leap. He goes because something in him has heard the call. In the Cocoon Method, The Leap is the body that says yes before the mind has worked out the plan. It is the moment the inner knowing becomes louder than the inner doubt, and you find yourself already moving before you have logically decided to move.

Upright

When The Leap appears upright, life is asking you to begin. Something new is calling, and the only honest answer is movement. You may not have the full plan. You may not see the next ground. That is the nature of this card. It is not asking you to be certain, it is asking you to trust the call and step. The body knows. It has known for a while. This is permission to follow it.

Reversed

Reversed, The Leap is fear wearing the clothes of readiness. You keep preparing, researching, waiting for the conditions to be perfect, and the perfect moment never comes because the waiting is the avoidance. Or it is the opposite, recklessness mistaken for courage, leaping without listening to the body at all. Either way the card asks you to come back to the quiet knowing underneath the noise. The real leap is neither frozen nor frantic.

The astrology
